We are a Christian humanitarian organisation that gives Massai in northern Tanzania access to education, health and self-determination.
Our Vision:
A society in which every member has equal access to religion and social and economic well-being.
Since 2005, we have had a school complex in the steppe of northern Tanzania, which now consists of two schools, several boarding schools and a kindergarten.
In the city of Arusha, 300 kilometres away, HftM has an orphanage and a vocational school.
A total of 950 children are supported from kindergarten to the end of their education (as of 12.2023).

HftM aims to give children and young people the opportunity to provide for themselves and their families in a self-determined and sustainable way by offering a sustainable educational programme from kindergarten to the start of their careers.
In addition to supporting girls, our aim is to empower women of all ages to become more independent from their husbands in order to achieve an equal position in society in the long term.

Together with our partners in Tanzania we want to run the 9460 km that separate our offices in Ascheberg and the ones in Arusha from each other. A symbolic collective movement that symbolises the great work our community and team are doing via continental borders. We are a team of volunteers from Germany, some germans working in Tanzania and so so many Tanzanian staff members as well as our Tanzanian core leadership team and TOGETHER we are trying to reach one goal: a better and safer future for maasai in Tanzania.
